How to Use Essential Oils: The Basics

You’ve heard of essential oils, or even have some sitting on your counter, but how do you use them? I wanted to bring the basic of how to use essential oils.

How to Use Essential Oils!



Aromatic means that you are breathing in the essential oils. Using a diffuser or hand diffusing are two of the most powerful ways to use essential oils. Create an instant shift in your brain by accessing the olfactory nerve through smell.

Lavender is an amazing oil to diffuse throughout the night for a more restful sleep.


Topical is putting the oils directly on your body. Apply essential oils to the bottoms of your feet, behind the ears, and on your wrists. The bottoms of your feet contain the largest pores on your body, so this will slow the absorption rate. You can also put it where you feel pain.

Deep Blue is an excellent oil to use for muscle soreness. The oil can applied directly to the pain.


WARNING! Only specific oils that are rated CPTG (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade) should be internalized. Essential oils are excellent for cooking and baking! They can also be used to spice up a glass of water.

Lemon is a wonderful oil that I use daily in my water, that has detoxification benefits.
